BMW Motorrad to test new concept bike in competition 450 cc Sport Enduro enters World Enduro Championship
BMW Motorrad's long tradition in off-road racing is to take another step forward in the highly competitive and popular 450cc class. On 28 and 29 April, a BMW team will set out with a new single-cylinder Sport Enduro competing in the E2 class in both races at the Enduro World Championship event.
The prestigious competition will take place at Puerto Lumbreras in southern Spain and will include the world's finest enduro riders and machines. BMW Motorrad will once more be putting their new motorcycle concept, specially developed for racing, to the test. Both the engine and the chassis feature
innovative technical solutions that are now to be tested for competitiveness.
The team has managed to acquire the services of off-road professionals Joel Smets and Sascha Eckart to ride the bikes. The BMW team will also be entering various other well-known races during the 2007 season.
